Penny is a beautiful 1-year-old Australian Shepherd who came to the shelter after her family moved to the area and found themselves temporarily living in a camper while working toward buying a home. With several dogs and limited space, they made the difficult decision to surrender Penny so she could find a home with plenty of room and attention. Penny is an outgoing, happy girl who absolutely loves everyone she meets! She is friendly, affectionate, and always seems to be in a good mood. Her tail may be a little unique—it appears to be docked, but not quite as short as you typically see on an Aussie—and whatever length it is, it's always wagging! This smart girl already knows sit and down and is potty trained. She does pull a little on the leash, but we're working with her on her leash manners, and she's eager to learn. Penny previously lived with other dogs and should do well in a home with canine friends. With her friendly personality, we also think she would be a great fit for a family with kids. At just a year old, Penny has lots of life ahead of her and would love a family who will include her in their adventures. Penny weighs 51 pounds. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and ready to find her forever home!
