About Coal

Coal is an 8-year-old sweetheart looking to spend his golden years with a loving family. He arrived at the shelter as a stray, and while we can't share much about his past, his gentle nature speaks volumes. One of Coal's greatest joys is belly rubs—he'll soak up all the affection you can give. Calm and affectionate, he thrives on companionship. Having transitioned into shelter life, Coal has passed by various dogs without issue, showing that he gets along well with them. He also seems indifferent toward cats, suggesting he could fit nicely into many home environments. As with any new pets, we suggest slow introductions to make everyone comfortable. Coal keeps his kennel clean, which is a great sign that he is likely house-trained. Already neutered and up to date on his vaccinations, he's all set to head home. You'll notice a bandage on his tail; he has what's affectionately known as "happy tail." His tail wags so enthusiastically that it sometimes causes a split, but the bandage helps with healing. If you're looking for a loyal companion who still has plenty of love to share, Coal is your guy. Come and meet him—age is just a number, and he has a lifetime of love left to give.
