Meet Wanda, a delightful Great Pyrenees who was found as a stray in Alabama, extremely underweight but is now thriving in foster care. Sheâs on the path to gaining another 25 pounds and her long, soft fur is currently shaved due to matting. With proper care, itâs expected to grow back beautifully. Wanda is housebroken, leash trained, and crate trained, knowing how to sit on command. Sheâs low-key and enjoys lounging indoors, watching the world go by. Her foster family has a fenced yard where she feels safe, and she has never tried to escape. When meeting new people, she does well, although she might bark at the UPS guy. While she hasnât directly interacted with kids, she watches the neighborâs children with curiosity. Wanda gets along wonderfully with both indoor and outdoor cats and cohabitates peacefully with her foster familyâs three resident dogs. Initially, she may be a bit shy around new dogs but warms up with time. One thing to note: she prefers to eat alone and can be protective of her food around other pets, not humans. At her core, Wanda is a cuddle-bug who enjoys your attention. Expect her to paw at you for affection and be ready to catch her when she trust falls into your arms for a hug. Bread is her favorite treat! She thrives in a low-volume home with enough space for walks or a fenced yard, and whether as an only pet or one with a couple of furry siblings, sheâs ready to share her love. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
