Once a foster or adopter is secured, transportation can be arranged to bring them north to Cedarburg, Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. These puppies are estimated to be around 3 months old. They were found as strays and, like so many puppies in southern shelters, found themselves in a place they should never have had to be. Now they are hoping for a second chance and a family of their own. These puppies are still very young, so they will need families who understand that puppies require patience, consistency, training, socialization, and plenty of time. They are at the perfect age to begin learning good manners and building a strong foundation for the rest of their lives. The shelter believes they are lab/shepherd mix and will be medium to large size dogs. Age: Approximately 3 months Gender: 3x Female, 2x Male Breed: Shepherd/Lab mix Weight: 21–34 lbs and growing Spayed/Neutered: Will be completed as part of their rescue vetting Potty Trained: Not yet! Crate Trained: Not yet! Leash Manners: Not yet! Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option.
