Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Moxie! Moxie is a pretty 1.5-year-old Beagle/Foxhound/Jack Russell mix (our best guess!) who came to K-9 Lifesavers from a crowded shelter in Tennessee. Weighing just 22.5 pounds, she's a smaller girl—the perfect size for tagging along on all kinds of adventures! Moxie is a sweet, friendly girl who does well with both people and other dogs. Even better, the shelter she came from noted that she may already be housebroken although we don't know for sure. Moxie is at a wonderful age: young enough for plenty of fun, playtime, walks, and adventures, but past the tiny puppy stage. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
