About Tate
Tate proves that being a senior doesn’t mean slowing down! At 13 years old, he’s still spunky, playful, and full of personality, though he appreciates a good nap and some quiet downtime. Originally adopted through Heartland in 2014, his journey took a twist when his previous owner passed away, leaving him to wander until he was found by a caring citizen this past July. That rescue effort led him back to Heartland. Now, in his foster home with three feline roommates, Tate is enjoying life. He’s fully vetted, current on his vaccinations, and has received a clean bill of health. He quickly bonds with those who show him love and comfort and has proven to be quite the homebody, even trying to steal one of the cats’ beds! As he embraces his golden years, Tate would thrive in a calmer home with older children or no children. What he truly wants is a soft place to land and a family who will give him the peaceful, happy retirement he deserves. After everything he’s been through, Tate is ready for his next chapter, and we believe it should be his best one yet. Ready to make him part of your family?
