HE WAS THROWN INTO A BUSY INTERSECTION. NOW HE NEEDS SOMEONE TO SHOW HIM WHAT LOVE IS. It is hard to imagine a crueler beginning for an 8-week-old, 8-pound puppy. This tiny boy was thrown into a busy intersection and simply left there—frightened, helpless and far too young to understand why the humans he depended upon had abandoned him. Thankfully, his story did not end there. FOACAS Rescue was fortunate enough to get him to safety, and what amazes us most is that, after everything he has already experienced, he is an absolutely sweet, affectionate, irresistible little puppy. He is curious. He is cuddly. He loves attention. And like every eight-week-old puppy, he is just beginning to discover the world. Yes, adopting a puppy means some work. There will be house-training, puppy mischief, things that mysteriously end up in little mouths, and lessons still to be learned. But there is something pretty wonderful about getting to raise a puppy, too. You get to watch his personality unfold, teach him that people can be kind, and become the person he trusts for the rest of his life. This little fellow had no say in how his life began. But someone very special can decide how the rest of it turns out. At only eight weeks old, he doesn’t need pity. He needs a family. He needs a home. And most of all, he needs someone who will make sure that being discarded in that intersection becomes nothing more than the very first—and very worst—chapter of an otherwise wonderful life. Eight pounds of sweetness. Eight weeks old. And an entire lifetime waiting to begin.
