Meet Cody, a cheerful 12-year-old black and tan male Doberman. With beautifully cropped ears and a docked tail, he weighs around 90 pounds. Cody arrived in rescue after losing his owner, and he's been a total love bug ever since. Recently checked by the vet, Cody aced his health exam, with great blood work and no heart issues detected. He thrives on affection and enjoys greeting everyone, whether at the vet's office or at home. While Cody does experience some anxiety during thunderstorms, he has a Thundershirt that helps him calm down, though he may still pace a bit. Cody is searching for a calm, relaxed forever home where he can lounge comfortably and enjoy gentle exercise. A one-level home with carpeting or non-slip rugs would be ideal, as he can be slow to get up at his age. Although he's house trained and not keen on crates, he loves to spend his days on his favorite bed, patiently waiting for his humans to return from work. Cody isn't much into playing with toys, but he does have a few favorites, including an orange tennis ball he occasionally carries around.
