About Raya

Meet Raya, a charming 7-month-old Chihuahua who came to the Stanislaus shelter as part of an animal welfare case. After being lovingly cared for by shelter staff, she’s ready for a fresh start in her forever home. Although she starts off a bit shy, Raya is sweet-natured and quickly warms up with a little patience. Now settled into her foster home in Seattle, she continues to gain confidence. She's friendly and playful, often seen zooming around the yard or happily tugging toys larger than her. When she's not in play mode, she enjoys cuddling up on the couch, gently booping your nose to say hello. Crate trained and house trained, Raya sleeps peacefully in her crate and is quite calm during grooming. She's become more comfortable with being picked up and is food motivated, always excited for meal time. With her unique floppy ears and affectionate personality, Raya is blossoming into a delightful companion. Having another confident dog around would likely help her settle in even faster. This sweet, gentle pup is looking for a loving family willing to give her the time and care she needs to shine. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
