About Waylon Jennings FTA

Meet Waylon Jennings! This energetic young dog arrived at DASH from a crowded rural shelter in Kentucky, just before he was set to be euthanized due to overcrowding. Waylon is a big boy who loves to play, making him a perfect fit for active individuals or families. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, including other dogs, but he tends to play a bit rough. Therefore, he would thrive best with larger dog siblings and older children who can keep up with his playful spirit. Currently participating in our DASH Prison Program, Waylon is learning basic commands, crate training, and leash walking. He’s housebroken in that setting, but might bark when left alone period, which is something he’s working on. While he has a goofy and affectionate personality, loud noises, like thunder, aren’t his favorite, and he will need support in managing that fear. An adventure-loving home is ideal for him, one that is committed to helping him develop into the best companion he can be. Waylon Jennings is part of our Foster-to-Adopt program. If you think he could be the right match for you, apply today and start the journey together!
