About Ginger

Ginger is a special pup currently fostered near Iowa City, Iowa. She was found as a stray in Oklahoma, heavily pregnant, and came into rescue just in time to give birth to her puppies. After raising them successfully, she is now ready to find her forever home. Initially shy with new people and cautious around fast movements, Ginger quickly transforms into the sweetest companion once she trusts you. She thrives on affection and loyalty, happiest when close to her chosen humans. Ginger is house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. She gets along well with dogs, cats, and children but needs a bit of patience and positive reinforcement as she builds her confidence. Ginger has an old leg injury that healed improperly, but she is on the mend with physical therapy and hydrotherapy. Her potential new family should be willing to continue her therapy to help her gain strength and comfort. With care, Ginger enjoys life and continues to improve. Ginger is spayed, vaccinated, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450. She needs someone who understands that trust takes time; give her the space to open up, and you'll be rewarded with a loyal and loving companion. Start your journey together! Apply now.
