Meet Bodie, a charming 14-year-old Shih Tzu with an endless capacity for love. This senior gentleman embraces the little adventures in life, whether it’s a leisurely walk, a car ride, or snuggling up next to his favorite human in the evening. Bodie has been cherished by his mom throughout his life, but due to her illness, she's seeking a safe and loving home for him. Her biggest wish is to have peace of mind knowing he’ll be well cared for. He thrives indoors, enjoys the comfort of a warm bed, and has never liked being left alone for extended periods—about four hours is his limit. Affectionate and gentle, Bodie is an AKC Canine Good Citizen. While his hearing isn’t perfect anymore, he remains sharp on routines and loves to engage, especially with food rewards. He hasn’t lived with children, dogs, or cats before, and can be a bit hesitant around new dogs at first. A sensitive spot on his right hip means he would appreciate a gentle touch and a respectful family. Bodie would be happiest in a quiet home with a loving individual or couple who seeks a loyal companion for calm days and cozy cuddles. If you’re ready to offer a devoted heart a place in your life, Bodie is waiting for you!
