Meet Gene Simmons, an adorable senior Miniature Poodle who found himself wandering the streets for weeks. Animal control rescued him near a homeless encampment. He arrived matted and covered in thorns, but now he's all cleaned up and settled into his foster home. Gene gets along well with dogs, cats, and children, making him a wonderful companion for any family. He doesn’t bark often and walks nicely on a leash. Despite being on the thin side, he has a great appetite and a genuinely sweet personality. Fun fact: Gene gets super happy when you play Tears for Fears. That's just the kind of dog he is! He's already had his bloodwork and vaccinations done and is set to be neutered soon. Best of all, thanks to a generous donor, his adoption fee has been completely covered! Gene needs a special diet with Stella and Chewy’s dehydrated patties for easier feeding, as wet food tends to make a mess. Gene is currently being fostered in Bryan, Texas, but with nationwide transport options, he can be flown with a flight nanny to any state in the US for a fee of $250. What are you waiting for?
