Initially matted and covered in thorns, he's now cleaned up, freshly shaved, and living in a loving foster home. Gene is a fantastic companion, great with dogs, cats, and children. He rarely barks and walks well on a leash. Despite being thin, he has a healthy appetite and a sweet, affectionate nature. Interestingly, he shows a surprising reaction to Tears for Fears music—he just lights up with joy! Gene has received his vaccinations and has been neutered. Thanks to a generous donor, his adoption fee is fully sponsored. How wonderful is that? If you'd like to support him further, he enjoys Stella and Chewy's dehydrated patties, which work well for him.
