About Atlas & Ajax in
Meet Atlas and Ajax, two bonded Great Pyrenees mix brothers looking for their forever home together! These sweet boys were rescued as strays in Alabama when they were just puppies, and they’ve been through quite the journey. Ajax recently had two hip surgeries but is recovering well and will be back to his active self soon. Atlas and Ajax are both house trained and leash trained, although they can be a bit shy during walks and may choose to take a break mid-stroll. They know how to sit for treats and have a fun trick up their sleeves: the Pyr Paw! With medium to high energy levels, these boys are very social with dogs of all breeds and good with new people, though they might take a moment to warm up. They’ve been around kids and have done well, but their playful nature would be better suited for older children. These boys love playtime, from chasing squirrels to frolicking in the yard. They enjoy a good brushing session and make excellent adventure companions in the car. They have a tendency to do a bit of light digging, but they’re not heavy diggers. Whether inside or outside, they love the cool air conditioning during hot days. Their favorite treat is any kind of food, making them great companions for meals! They are a little nervous around thunder and fireworks, preferring to stay indoors when these events occur. Atlas is a bit more guarded than his easygoing brother Ajax, but both are affectionate and love being around their people. These brothers would thrive in a low to medium energy home with a secure 4-foot fence. They are adaptable and would be just as happy being the only dogs or part of a larger pack. Looking for a pair of loving companions? Atlas and Ajax are ready to meet you!
