Meet Diego! This 5-month-old Shepherd mix has a sweet and curious personality that makes him an affectionate companion. With plenty of playful puppy energy, he also enjoys relaxing time with his family. At home, Diego is crate trained and doing quite well with house training, though an occasional accident may still happen. He knows how to settle quietly in his crate and often relaxes nicely in the house. Diego loves playing with other dogs, squeaky toys, and taking long walks where he can explore the world around him. He has a habit of carrying a stuffed animal outside, adding a bit of charm to his playtime. He really thrives with canine friends but doesn't need another dog to be happy. When meeting new people, Diego can be a bit shy and prefers to approach at his own pace. Calm introductions and treats help him feel more comfortable. He has shown a good rapport with older children, especially those who understand the need to give him time and space. Currently, he is working on his puppy manners, including occasional mouthiness and learning that shoes aren’t chew toys. He responds well to redirection, making him a great candidate for a patient family who can guide him as his confidence grows.
