Alfalfa is a charming little puppy, born on July 3, 2026. He’s a mix of Basset Hound and Australian Cattle Dog, showcasing a beautiful brindle coat and striking blue eyes. At just six weeks old, he weighs 5.5 lbs and is full of puppy energy, enjoying playful wrestling matches with his siblings. However, he can be a bit timid around things like stairs. Due to his age, Alfalfa is not altered yet, and he's available for adoption under a spay/neuter contract, which is a standard practice with MNBR to promote the health of puppies. He must be adopted locally within Minnesota or within 250 miles of St. Paul. Considering that puppyhood comes with a long-term commitment of 12 years or more, it’s important to be fully prepared for the joys and responsibilities of having a young dog. Alfalfa is a work in progress when it comes to house training and is currently not trained in this area. He’s looking for a loving family that can bring him out of his shell and help him thrive.
