Shadow arrived at Miri's Haven after his previous owner developed an allergy to him. This affectionate Chihuahua has experienced life in a home and is ready to shadow a new human companion. He gets along well with other dogs and older children, making him a suitable family pet. Shadow walks nicely on the leash and enjoys car rides. He can be left alone without causing trouble and is completely housebroken; however, he might need potty pads or belly bands initially as he transitions into a new home. Although Shadow has some restricted vision and requires eye drops, he takes them like a champ, especially when rewarded with little pieces of apple. He has a luxating patella, but surgery isn't needed at the moment. He may need pain management in the future and isn't a fan of stairs. We're also addressing some skin allergies through diet adjustments. This sweet boy loves to sit on laps outdoors, sniff around the yard, and lounge on his bed and blanket. He’ll let you know it’s dinner time by staring at you and making soft noises. When you talk to him, he tilts his head, eager to listen.
