Meet Gobi. At just six months old, Gobi is already on quite a journey. Named after the arid Gobi Desert, he embodies resilience. Gobi recently arrived at Hill Country Animal Rescue from another shelter, where a heart murmur went undetected. It wasn't until our staff member picked him up that she felt something amiss, prompting an immediate vet visit. Vets discovered a Grade 5 heart murmur, the most severe, often referred to as the "washing machine murmur." He’s scheduled for an echocardiogram to determine the next steps to keep his heart healthy. While Gobi is facing a tough road ahead, he is friendly, gets along well with both dogs and children, and has an engaging spirit.
