About Dory

Dory is a quick-footed little spark of energy who lights up any room. Just five months old and a petite 8 pounds, she's a Chihuahua mix who will stay small. When she first arrived, a past injury caused her to limp, and she wore a splint for a bit, but her wrist has healed and needs no further care. Every once in a while, she’ll still skip putting her paw down while she’s zooming around—that just adds to her character. Dory loves tangling with the other dogs in her foster house and is happiest wrestling with a playmate close to her own size. With bigger dogs, she’ll try to snuggle, give them kisses, and sometimes be their tiny shadow. She picks up on routines fast and seems to know the rules. While her teeth are busy with chew toys and bully sticks, she's never shown interest in chewing on shoes or household things. She’s house trained, though she may have an accident if you don’t let her out often enough. Crate training is in place, but she definitely prefers being with people. Dory needs a home with another playful dog—she isn’t a good fit as a single pet since she gets bored and lonely. She’s ready for a family looking for a smart, lively companion who loves both canine and human company. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
