Axle is a 1-year-old mix of Pointer and Labrador Retriever, radiating both youthful energy and a gentle spirit. He’s a polite companion, weighing in at about 45 lbs, and certainly one of the most charming fellows around. This smart pup is a quick learner, already knowing several commands and impressing everyone with his ability to give his paw. When it comes to treats, he’s the definition of gentlemanly, taking them with the utmost care. Axle lives harmoniously with older dogs, showing respect while still enjoying a good romp and wrestle when the mood strikes him. He’d thrive with another dog to pal around with, but he’s equally capable of being a beloved solo pet. His love extends to cats as well—he adores them! A fenced yard would ideally be his playground, where he can explore and unwind freely. However, he can adapt to an unfenced area if his person is willing to spend time training him on a leash, which he's great at. Axle also enjoys car rides and is a well-mannered companion. Though a bit shy around newcomers, he transforms with the right leadership and is highly motivated by treats. He needs a nurturing family that will celebrate his progress, big and small, as he continues to develop in a safe environment.
