About Forrest
Meet Forrest! Forrest is a 9-year-old Great Pyrenees who has seen more than his fair share of challenges. He's a quiet, thoughtful dog who takes his time to observe the world around him. New experiences can make him nervous, so he prefers to hang back until he feels safe. When he joined us, Forrest bore scars, both physical and emotional, from his past experiences, including a dog attack. This has made him cautious, especially around other animals. However, he thrives when there’s another dog friend around to help him navigate his new surroundings. Recently, he’s developed a fondness for stuffed toys, and the quickest way to win his heart is through tasty treats. His foster family has helped him blossom, and he’s eager for a loving forever home. Forrest is respectful with people, although he tends to watch cautiously until he trusts you. He has a gentle spirit and prefers to distance himself when unsure. Once trust is established, he leans in quietly, revealing the gentle companion he truly is. He is housebroken, well-mannered, and generally easy to care for. It’s essential to note that Forrest is a flight risk. When frightened, his instinct is to run, so he will need a secure, fenced yard and a patient adopter who understands how to manage this. A steady, quiet home is critical for him; he’s not a dog who will provide instant affection or thrive in chaotic environments. Instead, he offers a meaningful connection. If you give him the time he needs, you’ll gain a deeply loyal companion who appreciates safety and love. Click apply to start the adoption process.
