Meet Roberto, a charming young boy ready to find his forever home! Around a year old and weighing 40 pounds, he might be a bit shy at first, but he’s truly a lovable goofball. Thanks to the caring volunteers at K 9 Stray Rescue League, he has shown incredible progress since coming in and is starting to feel safe and loved. Roberto craves attention and adores cuddling, especially with his incredibly soft fur. His past was tough; he was found living in a basement with other dogs, but now he’s thriving and looking for a family that will shower him with love. Eager to learn, he’s highly treat-motivated, making him a dedicated student for basic obedience and leash manners. For his best success, Roberto would thrive in a home with another friendly dog. He brings out the best in playmates, as seen with his buddy, Millie. A recent sleepover at a volunteer's home showed how well he can adapt—playing nicely with a Frenchie, handling kids around, and staying calm in a crate. However, he will need a containment plan as he builds confidence, particularly as he can be sensitive to new experiences. Roberto’s ideal home should have children aged 13 and older, given his shy nature.
