About Rootie

Rootie is a gentle soul with a heartbreaking past. He was saved from a shelter many years ago, but just last summer, he found himself in a homeless encampment in Southern California. Thankfully, Rootie is now safe but still adjusting to his new surroundings. His shyness can be endearing; he needs a patient home with a soft bed and understanding people who will give him the love he craves. At around 9 years old, Rootie is in good health and weighs 60 lbs. He may take his time to come out of his shell, but he truly deserves the comfort of a loving home. If you're interested in fostering or adopting Rootie, he is currently in California but can be transported to Washington. Reach out today if you can provide him with the safe haven he needs.
