Georgia is an 8-month-old female Labrador Retriever mix looking for a forever home. Currently weighing about 42 pounds, she's a medium-sized dog who is nearly fully grown and will likely reach around 50 pounds. Formerly from the South, she traveled up north, and it’s clear she hasn’t experienced a true puppyhood. Georgia can be timid in new situations and is still learning how to walk on a leash. Every day, she improves with patience and treats, quickly picking up on commands. Though gentle, she will blossom once she settles into a loving home. She gets along well with respectful children and enjoys the company of other dogs. Meet and greets with any resident pets or kids will be essential to ensure compatibility. While she hasn’t been tested with cats, her playful nature suggests she might enjoy chasing them for fun rather than being aggressive. Georgia has spent some time in a crate and has traveled well in cars. Although she may not be reliably house trained yet, her eagerness to learn makes us think she will catch on quickly with consistent effort.
