Raccoon is a striking male Australian Shepherd and Husky mix who came into the HSOV on February 11, 2026, alongside his four siblings after being found in Lowell, Ohio. At just 4 months old, he weighed 22 lbs. Now 10 months old and weighing around 45-50 lbs, Raccoon sports a beautiful tricolor medium-haired coat featuring a distinctive black and white pattern on his chest and belly. His playful personality shines through his dark brown eyes, tan eyebrows, and white cream-colored muzzle, complemented by his large erect ears. This affectionate young pup thrives on fun and games, full of energy and joy. Raccoon spent some time with a foster family who planned to adopt him after his neuter procedure, but he returned on August 8 due to their work schedules. Raccoon can be a bit apprehensive, particularly around loud noises and larger dogs, which shows he needs a gentle approach. His past experiences have made him a bit wary, but he is nonetheless happy and playful.
