Balki's journey is a testament to resilience. After being found as a stray with kennel cough, he found himself in a busy shelter with uncertain prospects. Thankfully, he was transferred to a more accommodating refuge and later adopted into a loving home. But when changes in his owner’s life required a difficult decision, Balki needed a fresh start. Now, at nearly six years old, he balances youthful energy with a calm demeanor. He enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and playing ball—ball really is life to him! After a day of fun, he’s perfectly content to unwind, gnawing on a bone or lounging with his family and dog buddies. His previous foster family noted that he loves company, often taking naps alongside their resident German Shepherd. Balki has also shown he’s great with kids, enjoying backyard playtime immensely. He walks beautifully on a loose leash and is eager for affection, nuzzling or extending a paw for pets.
