Meet Peeta! This charming 4-year-old, 42 lbs dog likely has some Mountain Cur in his mix. Peeta was found as a stray at a gas station, struggling with an injured front paw which resulted in an amputation. He also faced heartworm issues but has bounced back strongly and is now ready for a new home. In his foster care, Peeta is dedicated to mastering house training, crate training, and leash walking. He’s great with kids aged 5 and older, and he can happily cohabitate with other dogs. However, Peeta does not get along with cats. His foster describes him as a sweet and loving boy who delights in receiving affection and spending time outdoors. The loss of a leg hasn’t held him back; he remains active and playful.
