Maddie is a delightful young dog who’s discovering the joy of life after a challenging start. When she first left the shelter, she took a few days to settle in, but now her personality shines. She loves to zoom around the yard, stick her head out the window during car rides, and snuggle up in your lap. One of her quirkiest habits is racing down the stairs, only to remember she needs to wait for you, then zooming back up to make sure you're coming. This playful routine brings a smile every time. Maddie has been friendly with my resident dog; they seem to have a neutral relationship, although the other dog isn't much for play. Initially, she was a bit unsure about the cat but soon learned to respect the tiny boss who rules the roost. When meeting new people, Maddie takes her time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate side truly comes out. She’s on a journey of learning how to enjoy life as a dog, becoming more confident and playful each day. Maddie is now searching for a family that will continue to guide her.
