About Peaches

Peaches is the first to be posted for adoption from our recent hoarding case. While she shows typical signs of past neglect, she's not as feral as many of the others. Shy yet eager for affection, Peaches will need a secure, fenced yard since she has never been on a leash and gets anxious with leash pressure. Approximately 7 years old and weighing 8 lbs, she gets along well with other dogs but prefers the company of women over men. She requires understanding adopters, especially when it comes to her skittish nature; quick movements can be overwhelming for her. Children are not recommended due to her fearfulness, though she may adapt over time with the right support. Foster mom notes that Peaches is very attached to her person and isn't keen on crates, but she’s doing well with potty training when taken out on a regular schedule. Though she's not comfortable on a leash yet, she might learn with patience. She's protective of her people, occasionally barking at unfamiliar faces until they show kindness. Peaches also gets along fine with smaller female dogs. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
