Martha is a tiny chihuahua with legs for days, possibly mixed with some greyhound features. Estimated to be around 7 years old, this gentle girl weighs just 8 lbs. Rescued from the streets of Houston, TX, Martha likely faced tough times, even surviving an incident that may have involved a car. Despite this past, she moves gracefully without any visible mobility issues. Recently spayed, Martha underwent surgery to remove two mammary tumors, one of which was a grade I carcinoma. Fortunately, her chest X-rays came back clear, and we recommend regular monitoring for any new growth. A shy soul, Martha loves being part of a group without being the center of attention. She’s friendly with other dogs and sweet towards humans, though she prefers to take her time getting comfortable. Approach slowly, as she tends to run from being picked up, but feel free to invite her to your lap when you’re sitting down. Quiet and independent, Martha will thrive in a loving home.
