Meet Beefy! Beefy's journey started with heartbreak but has transformed into a story of hope. He came into rescue alongside his Frenchie sister, Cali, and several cats after being abandoned. Thankfully, their landlord stepped in to ensure their safety and happiness. Beefy is a 4.5-year-old neutered male who weighs around 18 pounds. When he first arrived, he had trouble getting around due to severely displaced kneecaps, a condition known as bilateral medial patellar luxation. After undergoing successful surgery on both knees, Beefy has made remarkable progress. While he'll never completely regain a normal gait, he's much more comfortable now and thriving in his foster home. This gentle soul enjoys the simple pleasures of life, especially relaxing on a cozy dog bed with his people. He’s dog and cat-friendly, and while he prefers lounging over chasing, he loves trying to befriend the resident cat. Beefy needs a home that matches his relaxed lifestyle, ideally one without stairs. He won't be a long-distance walking companion but rather a homebody who enjoys a peaceful routine filled with love. He's potty trained, though he occasionally may have an overnight accident. Beefy is exceptionally quiet and rarely barks, making him an excellent match for someone seeking a calm companion. With a bit of a foodie personality, he enjoys home-cooked meals prepared by his foster mom. After overcoming so much, all Beefy needs now is a loving family.
