Marigold is a charming six-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a lovely champagne coat. This sweet little lady thrives on companionship and tends to be a bit shy due to her past breeding situation. She has shown remarkable progress, gradually overcoming her fear of unfamiliar sounds and things in her environment. The first encounters with items like a big magnolia leaf or large pinecone have made her jump, but her curiosity is growing, showing she’s ready to explore more. She enjoys two meals a day and typically follows her morning meal with a short walk to relieve herself without issues. While she isn’t fully house trained yet, she’s been accident-free for over ten days and responds well to a structured routine. Marigold isn’t fond of leashes but is learning to navigate her surroundings better, often sticking close to her foster family, whether in a fenced area or on a walk. Playtime is new for her, but she occasionally engages with toys. She adores other dogs, and after meeting dogs of various sizes, her tail wags joyfully at the sight of them. A home with another dog might help Marigold gain confidence and learn to romp. She’s also good with children, particularly older ones who can help her feel secure amid sudden noises. Marigold is crate trained but needs encouragement to explore outside of it during the day. She loves snuggling up with her family on the couch but prefers being picked up. Though she sleeps well in her crate, she seeks closeness during storms, calming when beside her people. Beyond thunder, she's relatively quiet, still figuring out windows and reflections.
