King is a senior dog who found himself in a tough spot but is now ready for a fresh start. He’s about 8 years old and has spent time with his buddy, Rico, who is also searching for a forever home. They were found wandering together in Central Florida, and after a compassionate Good Samaritan took them in, they ended up at H.A.L.O., where they could finally feel safe. Though we don’t know much about their past, King and Rico have a profound bond. They rely on each other for comfort and share a gentle demeanor. Both dogs are housebroken and eager for affection. They'd thrive in a quiet home, enjoying each other’s company. While King is a bit stiffer in his joints, daily joint supplements ensure he stays comfortable and active. King gets along well with other dogs and should do fine with respectful children, but he doesn’t do well with cats. With some medical concerns addressed, we’re hopeful his next family will recognize his loving spirit, which far outweighs any medical history.
