Birdie is a 6.5-year-old female Border Collie mix based in Bend, OR, and she’s ready to find her ideal home. This intelligent dog works hard to be the best companion she can be and always seeks to make her people happy. Birdie enjoys fetch, whether outdoors or lounging at home, and relishes running, swimming, or simply enjoying the shade in the yard. She is well-trained and excels in household manners, never begging for food or jumping on furniture, and waits calmly for her meals until given a handshake command. Birdie thrives in an active environment, requiring regular walks, runs, and even agility courses to satisfy her physical and mental needs. However, she does not get along with small animals or young children, as they make her feel uneasy. Ideally, she'd do best in a home with another large dog that has a calm demeanor, and she needs a fenced yard to roam freely. Birdie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and has a strong bond with her people, expressing her loyalty through cuddles and companionship.
