Meet Lexi, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi with a striking red tri coat. Born on November 27, 2020, she’s a loving companion who craves attention. If you find yourself busy, she'll gently nudge your hand or even walk across your keyboard to get you to take a break and spend some time with her. Lexi can be a bit jumpy at loud noises, seeking the safety of your lap quickly. This sweet girl is spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a home where she won’t be tied up or kept outdoors for long hours. While she has done well with a larger dog, smaller dogs may trigger her herding instincts, which can come off as aggressive. So far, her interactions with her foster cat have turned into peaceful cohabitation. Lexi needs plenty of exercise and enjoys her walks. Having a fenced yard is best to satisfy her strong prey drive. She happily occupies herself with her toy basket when left alone, but she definitely prefers lots of attention and belly rubs from her humans. Training is going well, as she’s picking up commands like "come" and "sit". Given her reactivity with small children, we recommend a home with kids aged 13 and older.
