Meet Janggun, a gentle and loyal Jindo mix looking for a peaceful forever home. At approximately 6.5 years old and weighing 44 lbs, this sweet soul has come a long way. Janggun and his brother, Hodong, were rescued from a dire situation where they faced neglect and threats from the dog meat trade. Thankfully, they found safety and a chance at a new beginning. Despite his challenging past, Janggun is affectionate and kind. He enjoys being close to his humans, loves gentle pets, and appreciates leisurely strolls. With a moderate energy level, he thrives in calm environments where life follows a predictable routine. Janggun is fully house-trained, walks well on a leash, and is comfortable with grooming tasks like baths and nail trims. He does have minimal separation anxiety but is generally easygoing around the house. He gets along well with calm and respectful dogs but prefers not to engage in rough play. It's best to ensure a quiet home environment, ideally with older teens or adults, as he hasn't been tested with young children or cats. Janggun may step back if someone approaches too quickly, but he has never shown aggression. He simply needs a gentle touch and a patient demeanor to build trust. Janggun is currently in a foster home in Korea and will be transported to the U.S. once adopted.
