Onigiri arrived at us in December 2025 after a call for help. Rescued alongside her mother and sibling, she has faced some challenges, having transitioned through two homes due to behavioral issues. While she can be sweet and loving, she has displayed unpredictable aggression in the past. It's important for potential adopters to understand her history and be observant of her cues, as they seem to be well communicated. In her first home, Onigiri became agitated when separated from her sister, leading to conflicts. In her second home, she had issues with the owner's roommate. Fortunately, she's currently thriving in the shelter and is responding positively to a new behavior modification medication added to her food. We recommend that she remains on this medication for life to help maintain her progress. Onigiri needs a patient, cat-savvy adopter who can understand her triggers and support her needs.
