About Roxy
Roxy came to us from a challenging situation where she lived outside, often tied up. When she arrived, she was covered in ticks, and during her spay surgery, it was revealed that she had early-stage Lyme disease. After receiving treatment, she is now ready to find her forever home with a caring family. At just 1 year old, Roxy is a playful and affectionate Pointer and American Staffordshire Terrier mix, weighing about 45 lbs. She’s friendly with both people and dogs, and she has shown no reactivity towards cats during walks. While she’s been great with kids aged 12 and up, Roxy can be initially fearful of strangers, preferring to hide until she feels safe. Once comfortable, she blossoms into a cuddle bug, excited for belly rubs and giving plenty of kisses. Roxy has displayed some separation anxiety when left alone overnight in her crate, but she’s improving and adjusting to routines. A home where someone works from home or is around during the day would be ideal. She’s adapted well to crate sleeping at night, and a fenced yard for playtime with another dog would be perfect for her. Roxy enjoys walks, plays well with her furry friends, and is generally happy. She even likes water, although baths are not her favorite. If you can provide a loving, patient environment for Roxy, consider reaching out. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
