New faces and unfamiliar surroundings can be a bit daunting for him, but he’s gradually becoming more comfortable around our staff, realizing that the world can be a welcoming place. Once he feels secure, Duke's wonderful personality shines through. He loves to stretch his long legs with a hearty run and displays impressive leash manners, making him an ideal companion for walks and outdoor explorations. Duke has shown positive interactions with other dogs, though we’re still gauging his feelings about cats. If you have a tranquil home, a nurturing spirit, and desire a loyal friend to grow alongside, Duke could be your perfect match. Come meet him at The Humane Society of the Ochocos, Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Give Duke some time and lots of love, and he will undoubtedly become someone's best friend.
