About Jimi
Meet Jimi! This sweet and loving boy has a shy side, but he's thriving with training and is ready to become a wonderful addition to a family. Jimi is almost 3 years old and weighs 66 pounds, showcasing a mix of Australian Shepherd and German Shepherd traits. Currently neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, he's a healthy dog with a kind heart. After being adopted as a puppy, Jimi is now back with us, looking for a forever home. He settles in easily and is doing great with crate and potty training. He responds well to redirection while walking on a leash, and loves exploring during long walks. While he has some fears around other dogs, Jimi is eager to please and learns quickly. He is fostered with a cat but does chase if it runs, so a home without cats might be ideal. Although he's not currently in a home with children, his gentle nature suggests he would do well with older kids who can respect his space. Jimi has a lower energy level, enjoying walks but equally happy to relax at home. A little attention goes a long way with him. This sweet soul needs a confident owner who can help him navigate his fears, especially regarding other dogs. With the right setting, Jimi will be the loving companion you’ve been waiting for. Vet and home checks are required. Located in Yorktown, VA, he can only be adopted within a 2-hour drive radius. Click apply to start the adoption process.
