Marty is a 2-year-old, 12-pound Chiweenie mix who brings a big personality into a small package. He can be a bit ornery but in the most lovable way, making his presence known when new people arrive. Though he may bark initially, a tasty treat and a bit of patience usually help win him over. Previously, an unknown injury has left him with a slight wobble in his walk, but that hasn't hindered his enjoyment of life. In fact, this quirk adds a touch of character to his charm. He’s made great progress since arriving, managing life just fine despite the wobble. Although there’s a small scab on his face healing nicely, it won’t be noticeable soon. Marty is mostly potty trained and sleeps quietly in his crate. He’s looking for a family that can help him continue to settle into a routine. Once he trusts you, expect a true Velcro dog; he loves being as close as possible. When you sit down, you’ll likely find him in your lap. He gets along well with other small dogs and would thrive with a canine buddy, although he can also be content with all your attention. His experience with cats is unclear, and due to his cautious nature around strangers, a home without young children would be best for him. Marty seeks someone who understands that building trust takes time. In return, he promises to be your fiercely loyal companion, always by your side.
