About Casper
Meet Casper – the little ghost who’s ready to haunt your heart. This lovable terrier mix is about 2 years old and weighs around 22 pounds, with a bit more weight to gain. Casper came to us as a stray, looking rough around the edges. Initially thought to be a puppy due to his small size, a closer look revealed he’s all grown up. Although he needs some healthy weight, his spirit has never dimmed. He’s one of the happiest little dogs you'll ever meet. Casper’s tail wags like it’s on a mission, convinced that everyone he meets is a friend waiting to happen. In fact, he would gladly take on the role of Professional Lap Dog. Walks are an adventure for Casper. He zigs and zags with enthusiasm, taking in all the sights and smells, which means he could benefit from some leash training. His infectious joy makes every outing a delightful experience. While he’s generally unfazed by the other dogs at the shelter, his compatibility with dogs, cats, and children is not yet known. If you have a resident dog, a meet-and-greet is essential to ensure everyone gets along. Casper is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, allowing you to bring him home while he completes his veterinary care. He’ll receive his vaccines, neuter, microchip, and heartworm testing—everything needed for a healthy, happy life. If you’re looking for a cheerful companion who loves to snuggle, Casper might be your perfect match. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
