About Memphis
Meet Memphis, a lively and friendly guy who's about 4 years old. Found wandering the streets of Washington, he's now happily settled in a foster home in Ravensdale, WA after spending a month at Whatcom Humane Society. He’s recently neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Memphis enjoys making new friends but prefers gentle approaches, especially avoiding big scary hats. He walks well on a leash and loves to be involved in his humans' activities, always eager to follow them around. While he may whine a little in his kennel, he soon settles down for a nap. He has a curious nature, often checking out counter surfaces, but he's not overly food motivated. Unfortunately, Memphis has a tendency to chase cats, so a home without felines is best. He gets along well with most dogs, especially females, and would thrive with a fur-sister. In his foster care, he's working through some mild dominant behaviors, which might be attributed to his adjusting hormones. His foster moms find his antics endearing and use a belly band to manage things. Overall, Memphis is a chill, playful, and goofy dog eager to learn and enjoy life. He's already kennel and dog-door trained and knows commands like sit, down, and wait. If you're looking for a fun companion who’s ready to bring joy and some quirks into your life, Memphis is your guy. Ready to welcome him into your home? Click apply to start the adoption process.
