About Freya
Meet Freya, a spirited 8-year-old fawn Boxer who's ready to add excitement to your life! Rescued from a shelter after her previous owner could no longer care for her, Freya has bounced back from her initial anxiety and is now thriving in her foster home in Stanwood, WA. Freya easily showcases her energetic and playful side through love for squeaky toys and tug of war. She's full of surprises for her age and enjoys zoomies around the yard, actually attempting to box with her humans during playtime. However, her playful nature may not make her the best fit for homes with young children, as she can be quite rough. Fully house-trained and crate-trained, Freya follows a potty schedule every 3 to 4 hours without accidents. She may struggle a bit with crate anxiety, but covering her crate calms her down. Freya does have a keen interest in other dogs when out on walks, and she's displayed a strong prey drive towards smaller animals, indicating that feline friends might not be suitable for her. Ideally, Freya would thrive with someone who is home often, like a work-from-home adopter. She's also a great car companion, happily fitting into either loose rides or traveling in her crate. Freya's personality is spunky and stubborn, and she forms quick bonds with her humans, always ready for adventure rather than lounging on the couch. If you're ready to bring this active girl into your life, get your application in today!
