He came to NAWS after his family could no longer care for him, arriving in heartbreaking condition—underweight, covered in ticks, and nursing pressure sores from a rough life spent mostly outdoors or in a garage. Yet, despite it all, Dominick's spirit remained unbroken. Since entering our care, this handsome hound has been steadily gaining weight, and his coat has transformed into something beautiful. His sweet personality is truly blossoming, and he's well on his way to reaching an ideal weight of around 60-65 pounds—becoming the happy dog he was always meant to be. Dominick is an incredibly affectionate boy who adores giving kisses to everyone he meets. As a true hound, he loves exploring during long adventure walks, happily following scents along the way. He gets along well with other dogs but is searching for a home without cats. While he is good with children, his enthusiastic nature means he would thrive best with older kids who can handle his excitement.
