Zinnia is a sweet and shy girl seeking a fresh start and a touch of love. This gentle Terrier mix needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to help her transition to a more comfortable life. At about 6 years old, Zinnia weighs an estimated 17.8 lbs and is currently living at Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus. She gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a friendly resident dog to guide her. Zinnia has not been tested with cats or kids yet, but the rescue team is happy to provide tips on integrating her into a family with children or other pets. Zinnia was rescued from a hoarding situation and hasn't had much exposure to new people or environments. Because of this, she may feel fearful and anxious when confronted with new sounds or experiences. Her ideal adopter is someone patient who can introduce her to the world gradually and lovingly. Her forever home should be full of snuggles, a cozy bed, and quality food to help her feel secure.
