Rufus balances a medium energy level with great playfulness and a knack for relaxing at home with his loved ones. He thrives socially and plays well with both small and large dogs. Rufus knows how to read canine cues, letting new friends take breaks when needed. He walks beautifully on a leash, calmly passes unfamiliar dogs, and would be thrilled to have another playful dog companion. Rufus is well-mannered, being both fully potty trained and crate trained. He peacefully sleeps through the night in his crate and handles alone time quite well. Living with a cat currently, he politely ignores it and has done great with kids aged 9 and up. Affectionate by nature, he loves toys, treats, belly rubs, and cozy couch cuddles. Rufus bonds deeply with his family, especially with women, and may need gentle introductions to men to build trust. One of his funniest quirks is that he initially didn’t understand dog beds and would destroy them, but now he appreciates a good cozy spot. While Rufus isn’t fond of baths and may require a little help getting into the car, he generally handles these situations with patience.
