About Maggie
Meet Maggie, a stunning Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix. At just 8 months old and weighing around 80 pounds, she’s a big girl with a heart to match. Maggie is a Livestock Guardian Dog, meaning she has natural protective instincts. She came to CCHS because she was having trouble with a Border Collie in her previous home. However, here at the shelter, she’s shown interest in playing with another dog, which suggests she can warm up to a canine companion in the right environment. It’s common for dogs like Maggie to be friendly outside their territory but less tolerant of unfamiliar dogs at home, as they are bred to protect their space. Maggie is house-trained, crate-trained, and enjoys playing with toys. She knows a few basic commands and has the intelligence and adaptability to thrive in a household that understands her needs. This lovely girl is ready for a new adventure, and all she needs is the right family. Adoption fee is waived. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let's get started.
