About Finnegan
Finnegan has certainly faced considerable challenges over the past year. He lost both of his owners within months and was taken in by their adult son, who unfortunately has been battling liver failure. During this difficult period, Finnegan didn't receive the care he needed. Recently, he experienced a severe issue that left him unable to open his jaw, making it impossible for him to eat. Thankfully, Finnegan is now in the care of dedicated angels who are committed to helping him. He was taken to the vet for the first time on March 24th, where he was diagnosed with Masticatory Myositis (MMM), a painful immune system disorder affecting his chewing muscles. He's currently on medication and a special diet designed to help him gradually gain weight. A follow-up exam is scheduled for April 7th to check on his progress and assess his treatment. Paws crossed for a positive outcome! Finnegan is already house trained and gets along well with dogs, making him a potentially great companion for the right family.
